HP Linux Imaging and Printing System (ver. (2/2) Updating the desktop file MIME type hp-toolbox Hplip-plugin: binary blobs for specific devices (AUR) or run hp-setup to Then, I run hp-toolbox but I have trobule either using CUPS or discovering the network printer. Hi Lectrode, I have no printer installed now and I did the hplip upgrade. Nss-user-lookup.target loaded active active User and Group Name Lookups Nss-lookup.target loaded inactive dead Host and Network Name Lookups I also run the following command and I found inactive de systemctl -all | grep nss The printer was paused and after I enabled from system-config-printers I found the same message as in the screenshot. The message after running testarm -s is still the same as yesterday, Load smb config files from /etc/samba/smb.conf

I run a new full update today and I tried to install the network printer attached to a Windows 10 machino over the network using CUPS and system-config-printer again but I could not print. You could see this in the following screenshot, after enabling avahi with systemd and modifying /etc/nf file. Yesterday I followed Pepito's instructions and nothing happend. I uninstalled the printers and tried to install the printers from CUPS (localhost:631) but I found the same result.

I realize that smb.conf was not present on /etc/samba but I considered not important because my PC is a workstation, not a server. Rlimit_max: increasing rlimit_max (1024) to minimum Windows limit (16384) Load smb config files from /etc/samba/smb.conf The result from testparm -s is the following: The printer was paused so I cancel the job. I also saw that the jop-printer-uri was ipp://localhost/printers/HP-LaserJet-1006, instead of smb://.x/HP1006 which is the correct direction of the network printer installed.Īlso the job printer state message told me that I shall run /etc/samba/nf and I have to run testparm in a console. The same dialog box appeard again and again. I followed the instructions and in the job-attributes message told me that the qeue was not enable, so I do the duty and nothing happend. They work fine until a week, when I did a full update of the system and tried to print again. I correctly setup the printers with the suggested drivers, hplip is installed. One is HP Laserjet 1020 and the other is HP Lasejet P1006. Never shows any indication that it's getting a print job.I installed Manjaro Guellivara with Cinnamon desktop a month ago in a workstation, I work in a corporative environment with Zentyal installed as PDC and I use the two network printers attached to a PC with Windows 10 64 bits.
